If you'll note, the UK sits just a ticker north of Whistler, but other than that we exist in similar circumstances, northwest coast of the continent on the eastern edge of an ocean. Our weather tends to be quite similar, rain most of the winter, snow a couple of times in the winter (in the lowland coastal cities that is, the mountains get dumped on) and it is to be hoped, a few weeks or months of pretty sweet weather in the summer. I think UK and southern B.C/NW Washington weather is fairly comparable. Just got back from a perfect night ride- couple flakes of snow, crunchy on the logging road climbs... now, watching this slideshow makes me want to lube the chain and head back out... Need to recharge the batteries first...

Most of the original trails here in B-ham were moto trails too. Props to the original trail builders!

Yea, pot, life's PAUSE button. I guarantee he's not a stoner. Never be able to achieve what he has.

The jump crash in the third film garnered the loudest groans/amped cheers of the evening. Same trail my daughters cut their teeth (and scraped their shins) on. Fun evening to be a part of for sure. Ride global, build local.

Bummer if your house was damaged. Experienced a number of typhoons when living in Saitama. Humbling to be sure. Kind of puts some things in perspective. Glad to hear you and those around you came through relatively unscathed, and a treat to see another vid. Fun to watch you play on the trail.

Buspilot, ライド オン!!! Fun to see the year-in-review. I need to watch the video again, but it looked like you put the label for Nagoya somewhere in southern California... Creative geography! Ride on!!!

That's what a combination of youth, friendship, testosterone and epinephrine can create. Thanks for reminding me what I used to be like. Fortunate to have survived really. I want to go ride! NOW! Braaaaaaaaaaaaapp

NWray, "google it stop being lazzy, your playing into the stereotype that Americans are lazzy" I completely agree, it is easy enough to look up, and we Americans do have a reputation for being somewhat less than motivated on occasion, but please, when calling someone out, it would be helpful to get your own act together. You've got no fewer than 3 spelling errors in your post, no upper-case letters save for the second proper noun, and an intriguing insertion of only a single piece of punctuation in the middle of what probably should be three sentences. It may be the geek in me, but if you're going to call someone lazy, you might want to make sure you say it in a manner that reflects your own lack of the aforementioned trait.

There are some pretty tall drinks of water over at Transition. Co-Founder/Co-Owner Kevin Menard is in the 6'5"~6'7" range. I'm fairly confident he worked on the design of this rig, and has it set up to be a comfortable ride for himself at the XL end of the range. My guess too is that this is a trail bike from Transition Bikes, not an XC race rig, so it was built with trail maneuverability, flickability, and fun in mind. But what do I know, I'm not an engineer, I just love riding bikes.

Hey, BP, glad to hear you're coming out of that ok. Don't mess with concussions! Give it time to heal, more than you would for another body part, don't try to just gaman suru through it. The brain is a delicate instrument. Hang in there! Evan

Dude, please remove the directions to DBD. Mountain biking is already threatened on this trail. The burms are constantly getting blown out by rookies who don't know how to take corners.

Thanx,

JonC
